Unlike the other galleries, these images are not entirely in chronological order. I first
began working in sketch books in 1987, Charlotte got her own sketch books apart from
sketch books I was using for other paintings. In the Paintings gallery, some of the
paintings have their original sketches displayed alongside the finished piece. This page
covers the era from 1987 to circa 1994. These sketches represent the merest fraction of
all the drawings done across four sketch books over a span of nearly twenty five years.
