Unlike the other galleries, these images are not entirely in chronological order. I first began working in sketchbooks in 1987, Charlotte got her own sketchbooks apart from sketchbooks I was using for other paintings. In the Paintings gallery, some of the paintings have their original sketches displayed alongside the finished piece. This page covers the era from 1987 to circa 1994. These sketches represent the merest fraction of all the drawings done across four sketchbooks over a span of nearly twenty years.
